When I try to change my domain's contact information in the Domain Manager, I get an error: Failed to update the contact in the registry: [501] Object status prohibits operation. What does this mean?

This error usually means the domain is Locked. You should unlock the domain before making this sort of change by clicking on Domain Locking and Disable. Don't forget to re-lock the domain once you have finished making changes.
